Do you have a passion for the food you eat? I enjoy experimenting with new recipes and exploring different restaurants. One of the things I miss about Colorado is the amazing food scene. There is a fantastic farm-to-table restaurant in Fort Collins called Jessup Farms that serves delicious food in a historic homestead. When we heard about a new farm-to-table restaurant in Paola, called Legacy Homestead, it reminded us of our dining experiences in Colorado. Legacy Homestead plans to host a farm-to-table dinner once a month from May to October. We will be attending next month and would love for you to join us! It's not just a dinner, it's a unique experience that celebrates local produce and community spirit. I'm not exactly young, so I keep up with her on Facebook, and it looks like she's also using Instagram. She shares her weekly meal prep menus and many other activities here.
Are you new to the concept of farm-to-table? I was until I visited Jessup Farms and since then I can't stop thinking about where our food comes from. The concept goes beyond simply sourcing your food locally. Farm-to-table practices aim to create a mutually beneficial relationship between farmers, consumers, and the environment. By using locally sourced ingredients and promoting eco-friendly farming methods, this approach seeks to reduce carbon footprints and support local economies. Just think, every bite is a step towards a healthier future.
