Couples Ranch Retreat 2-night stay
Spend a cozy weekend living the ranch life dream
Service Description
This renovated 1895 farmhouse, set on a historic dairy farm, invites couples into the living rhythm of a working ranch, an experience best shared side by side. It’s a place where connection comes not from escape, but from doing something real together. Mornings begin on the porch with coffee as the ranch wakes up. Chickens stir, sheep move through pasture, calves call, and the day’s work quietly unfolds. Guests are welcome to step into these routines: collecting eggs, helping with feedings, or simply watching and learning. There’s something grounding about sharing these small moments, about seeing where food comes from and how care shapes the land. Inside, the farmhouse blends original character with modern comfort. Sunlight fills the rooms, and large windows look out onto working pasture rather than curated views. The fully equipped kitchen becomes a place to cook together. Evenings slow naturally. The animals settle, the air cools, and the fire pit becomes a place to linger. Roast s’mores, talk longer than you planned as you reflect on the day. This is not a passive stay. It’s an invitation to try something new together, to move at the pace of the land, and to leave with shared memories that feel rooted and real, less like a vacation, and more like a meaningful pause. This is a working ranch, and daily life continues during your stay. You may hear animals, see chores happening, or notice the steady rhythm of ranch work unfolding around you. A train track runs along the back side of the property; depending on your usual sleeping habits, you may find the distant passing of trains soothing and familiar, or occasionally noticeable. We also have livestock guardian dogs, and you may hear them bark as they protect the sheep. A white noise machine is provided for your comfort, and many guests find it helpful for deeper rest. Participation in ranch activities is always optional. Some guests love stepping into the routines, while others prefer to observe from the porch. Either way, you’ll be sharing space with a living, working ranch and one that invites curiosity, presence, and connection.
